ZAO Day Camps

What Is ZAO?
Zao Discovery Day Camp is an Urban Christian Day Camp held for two weeks each July at our church for kids in Grades going into grade 2 – 7.

What does “ZAO” mean?
“ZAO” is a Greek word in the Bible which means “life”. You will find it in our theme verse 1 John 4:9.

9 This is how God showed his love among us:

He sent his one and only Son into the world

that we might live through him.

What will you discover at ZAO?

  1. A community of acceptance and belonging.
  2. A God who loves adventure, creativity, and fun.
  3. An understanding of God’s best for your life.
  4. That Jesus changes everything!

What will you do at ZAO?

At ZAO, kids have the opportunity to be part of a week long adventure. Some of our activities include: an inflatable waterslide, pedal go-carts, canoeing, field games, crafts, bubble balls, water games, chapel times, and practical Bible lessons.

How long is a day at ZAO?
A week of camp runs from Monday to Friday. It begins at 9:00am and finishes at 4:00pm. A hot lunch and snacks are included in your registration.

After lots of dialogue and weighing of options the difficult decision to cancel ZAO for the summer of 2021 was made.

We will miss the singing, laughter, activities and friendships that have made ZAO such a great part of our summers.  And while there will be no camp this year,  you need to know that we are already working on summer 2022!

So wherever this summer takes you,  know that we will miss having you here with us, and remember that God isn’t just here at the church or at ZAO,  but that He can be found anywhere we go, to help us and show us how to live life to the full.

ZAO’s theme verse:

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life (ZAO) through him.
