Extending Christ’s Compassion and Hope In Our World.

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter3:15.

2 “Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3 For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5 And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God’s will.” 2 Corinthians 8:2-5

The Kingdom of God is not ours to keep. It is the message of life that was and is intended for all people. And following the example of Jesus our Savior and leader, we are given the task of bringing his compassion and hope to the world. God is both Truth and Love. Hope is best shared as the outflow of compassion. Generosity and hospitality are to be hallmarks of the people of The Way. It is our hope and prayer that in word and in action, we will be a people who are faithful to the gospel of Jesus.
