Embedding Faith Into Homes.

Deut 6:5-9   5 “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

It is the role of the church to encourage and assist families in making the home the center of spiritual life and learning. Parents, and grandparents are the most influential and natural purveyors of faith in the lives of their children. In our world of professionalism, people often feel unequipped to be the ones who pass on faith, but it is both our calling and privilege. Faith is not a program, or a ministry, but a way of life, first lived out at home, and then reinforced in community. While we provide excellent ministry to children, we seek to equip individuals and families to grow and live out their faith in their daily lives and homes.
