Worship is what keeps our focus on the One True God. It isn’t useful for earning “spiritual points”, and it doesn’t impact in any way how God feels about us. But worship does immerse us in the splendor and mystery of the King of the universe. It invites us to enjoy God’s presence in personal and corporate ways that take us out of our time and into the eternal purposes of God. As a result of understanding more of Him, we are changed, as God’s life is breathed into us.
